YOUcat is an iSeek initiative/study group that explores the tenants of the faith as they are expressed in the Church’s new Catechism for youth. The book is divided into four parts:
• What we believe?
• How we celebrate the Christian Mysteries?
• How we are to have life in Christ?
• How we should pray?
Who: School leavers - Age 22
Where: St Charbel's Youth House (144 Highclere Ave, Punchbowl)
When: Monday Nights (7.30pm - 8.25pm, followed by the Rosary/Adoration)
Why:
1 - To KNOW the faith better, to deepen our relationship with God.
2 - To SHARE in the life, mission and work of the Church.
3 - To MEET with other young people who share the same values you do.
4 - To better be able to EXPRESS the Catholic faith to others.
“Yes, you need to be more deeply rooted in the faith than the generation of your parents so that you can engage the challenges and temptations of this time with strength and determination”
– Pope Benedict XVI in the forward to the YOUcat
