Affordable Housing Assembly

Planning Minister Anthony Roberts and Greater Sydney Commission confirm their attendance at our second Affordable Housing Assembly!

Join our Archbishop Anthony Fisher, Catholics from across the Sydney region and people of goodwill form other faith, community and union organisations to ask our political representatives to make real commitments to increasing housing affordability in our city!

This is the follow-up from a May 4th Assembly at Eastwood at which we asked the Minister to commit to higher targets (15-30%) for affordable housing on new developments and to adjust income criteria to acknowledge and support family life and moderate income earners. We now have the two key decision makers in the room so let’s match that commitment and be in the room so the right decisions get made.

We need to double the numbers from our 350+ showing at Eastwood so please get your parish groups, friends and families together and come along to bring a Catholic voice for justice and compassion to this most important Assembly! We have a chance to change the conversation in this city from one only of property and profit to one that is tempered by values of home, family, hospitality and humility.
