St Peter's Choir & Soloists present Judith & the French Baroque

Are you prepared for the gripping story of a powerful woman, who infiltrates enemy quarters, and uses her feminine charms to put an end to a terrible war?
No, this isn't #WonderWoman, this is the story of Judith, the strong biblical character who seduced and decapitated General Holofernes to free besieged Israel from the Assyrians.

Surry Hills' premier choir, the St Peter's Church Choir, together with soloists, will perform two works by French Baroque composers which celebrate Judith and her triumph over Holofernes.

Performing:
"Judith sive Bethulia liberata" - oratorio by Marc-Antoine Charpentier
"Judith ou la mort d'Holopherne" - cantata by S├ębastien de Brossard.

Presented by the Choir and Soloists of St Peter's, Surry Hills. Conducted by Eugene Raggio

Join the St Peter's community for an afternoon of music and cheer. (Entry via private road off Marlborough St).

Tickets: $20 Adults and $15 Concession (at the door). Proceeds will go towards raising money for the Pipe Organ to be installed in 2018.
