"Cyberbullying is real. There are people who don't care what they say ... because they are hiding behind a computer screen." Erin Persinger, who is about to begin her junior year in high school, sat down recently with the Florida Catholic newspaper and several other teens who volunteer for the Catholic HEART Workcamp in Orlando to talk about the realities of bullying and cyberbullying, and how it has affected their own lives.

Pro-Life Television Show Wins Emmy Award

Producers and staff members with the weekly pro-life television show Facing Life Head-On are celebrating after the show was awarded a regional Emmy in the category of Interview and Discussion. The show, which is a project of the Life Issues Institute, won the award on the strength of an episode in which Mattes interviewed Missy Davert, a woman who is 2 feet 11 inches tall and has a condition called osteogenesis imperfecta.

Hollywood Shocked as Family Films Flourish

The surprise box-office boom for the cartoon “Despicable Me” is making it clear again to Hollywood that family films are the most likely to be top-grossing films. “Toy Story 3” is number one for 2010, not only among the critics, but among the people as well. “Despicable Me” already has broken into the top ten box-office hits for the year to date with almost $130 million in ticket sales.
