Answering Those Who Say there is Only One Mediator

Have you ever had a Protestant challenge you as a Catholic, stating that there is one (sole) mediator between God and Man, Jesus, asking the saints to pray for us is useless, wrong and maybe even sinful. It is a very common objection!

Christianity is not a generic philosophy or a bland spirituality - it is the proclamation of something fresh, startling and urgent. The authors of the New Testament has this urgency in their writings, they are here to tell us about an 'emergency' - God has been raised from the dead. Pope Francis has this same evangelic urgency, as evident in his Apostolic Exhortation "Evangelii Gaudium" (The Joy of the Gospel) - making it an excellent read! Fr. Key Points of Evangelii Gaudium, Pope's First Apostolic Exhortation

Through this apostolic exhortation, Pope Francis had publicly laid out what he wants to focus on during his pontificate. He challenges all Catholics to share the message of the Gospel with joy and mercy. To preach by example, the Pope says the Papacy should undergo a conversion, that's more faithful to the “meaning which Jesus Christ wished to give it and to the present needs of evangelization.”
