M2016 is a new project from WYD Krakow 2016 and shows the lives of young people who are planning to attend World Youth Day in Krakow next year - their work, dreams, sorrows and specially their faith in Christ - all that in their daily life. In this episode, we meet Angieszka! Angieszka is a volunteer in Africa and today she is volunteering for Salesian missionaries services. She will be in Krakow for World Youth Day 2016. Will you?

WYD2016 Blog11 - A Pilgrim's Guide to Divine Mercy Shrine

Located in the District of Lagiewniki. The Divine Mercy Sanctuary is the resting place of Saint Faustina Kowalska. It is here that pilgrims can see the miraculous image of Jesus Christ with rays of red and white coming out of his Sacred heart. This Divine Mercy image was that which Sister Faustina saw in her visions and which Jesus asked her to have painted so that it could be venerated by the whole world. He also taught her how to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

Interview with a WYD Official: It's Not Tourism, It's a Pilgrimage

Father Joao Chagas is responsible for the Pontifical Council for the Laity's section for the youth. He says that Pope Francis will ask the youth something very special: "For the Jubilee of Mercy, we know that the Pope also will ask young people from throughout the world, as Pope John Paul II already has, to take the call for mercy back to every country after they return.” World Youth Day has changed many young people's lives, however as Father Chagas notes, it is not a holiday - it is a pilgrimage. WYD2016 Blog 9 - Saint Kinga, Polish Princess and Saint

Saint Kinga, patroness of Poland and Lithuania, was a Polish princess who is recognised as a saint in the Catholic Church. She was born in Esztergom, Kingdom of Hungary, the daughter of King Béla IV of Hungary and Maria Laskarina. Kinga reluctantly married Boleslaw V and became princess when her husband ascended the throne as Prince of Cracow. Despite the marriage, the devout couple took up a vow of chastity. During her reign Kinga got involved in charitable works such as visiting the poor and helping the lepers. When her husband died in 1279, she sold all her material possessions and gave the money to the poor.
