"Abba Father" - Official Song for WYD Czestochowa 1991 in Poland

As we prepare for World Youth Day 2016 in Krakow, Poland, have a listen to the official song for World Youth Day 1991, which was also held in Poland - in the city of Czestochowa. The song was called Abba Ojcze, which means "Abba Father".

In 1979, Pope John Paul II celebrated Mass in communist Poland. Who would have thought that this historic visit would contribute to the fall on communism in Poland? John Paul II's legacy of provocative non-violence has left a mark in Poland. As we prepare for World Youth Day 2016 in Kraków, let us pray this World Youth Day will be a celebration of freedom and religious liberty, following the example of JPII.
