On the eve of his ordination into the priesthood by the Archbishop of Sydney, Cardinal George Pell, Seminarian Sam Lynch admits it's been a long journey but one that fills him with immense joy. "At age 42, I have finally found what I was made for," he says.
On Saturday, 4 August, Sam will be one of eight seminarians to be ordained into the priesthood by Cardinal Pell. Numbers entering the priesthood have undergone a resurgence in the past few years. Throughout the 1980s and 90s numbers declined. But the trend has now been reversed with a sharp increase in ordinations into the priesthood.
