WYD Communications Office: Security is a Top Priority in Rio

Following the election of Pope Francis, World Youth Day 2013 in Rio is expected to draw even bigger crowds than anticipated, with pilgrims coming from all over the continent to see the first South American pope.

According to the Communications Office, 4,520 professionals, including military and civilian police officers and agents invited from other institutions, will be trained in safety courses for World Youth Day 2013. Visit this article to read more.
