Grieving Parents to Receive Recognition for Loss of Unborn

Parents who have experienced a tragic early pregnancy loss will be able to honour the memory of their little one with a new commemorative certificate, issued by the registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages in the Australian State of Queensland.

Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Jarrod Bleijie said the In Loving Memory certificates were designed to provide grieving families with comfort. “Losing a child before you can even meet them or hold them is heartbreaking for a mum and dad and, until now, there’s been nothing in Queensland to acknowledge that these precious lives ever existed,” Mr Bleijie said.

What a terrific and beautiful gesture by the Queensland Government - well done!
