Rio Sees WYD As Boost for Brazil's Shrinking Catholic Population

Archbishop Orani João Tempesta of Rio de Janeiro says that the city is looking forward to hosting World Youth Day in 2013, which will be a welcome sign of hope for "our young people who are afflicted with problems like poverty, violence, and drugs."

Brazil sent a strong delegation of 16,000 young people to World Youth Day in Madrid, demonstrating the strength of the Catholic Church in the country. But that strength may be in jeopardy, with the Catholic proportion of Brazil's population dropping by 6% in the past six years. Visit this article to read more.

Its Great to heard that Brazil start to prepare and looking forward to hosting World youth day in 2013. I plan to Apply for the International volunteer for one Year so I hope someone can guide me here how to apply for the volunteer of WYD in Brasil. Go Brazil...Hope to be with you there...GBU

I'm happy to hear that WYD2013 will be hosted by Brazil in Rio de Jeneiro. I would like to be an International Volunteer in WYD 2013 Brazil. Please someone help me with this! Have great blessings from Almighty God.
