Locations for WYD Days in the Diocese Assigned Biblical Names

The Polish dioceses that will be participating in 'Days in the Diocese' in the lead up to World Youth Day next year have been assigned biblical names such as “Peter’s Boat”, “Jordan”, “Mount Moria” and "Kingdom of God" in order to highlight important events from Salvation History. The dioceses have chosen names that not only testify to God’s love, which the Lord has shown throughout the history of Salvation, but also that somehow relate to the history of the particular diocese.

Days in the Diocese are a time immediately preceding the main celebrations of World Youth Day. In 2016 they will take place July 20-25th in all Polish dioceses, except for the Archdiocese of Krakow. Days in the Diocese invites young people from around the world to join in preparation to meet with the Holy Father. Groups interested in participating in Days in the Diocese are invited to contact their pilgrimage coordinators.
