Come and See the Wonders: Reflections on Worship

Last edited 20th August 2017

I tend to be a pretty serious person. Anyone who knows me will probably roll their eyes at that statement, cause look – I do crack a lot of jokes. But I think a lot. Kind of non-stop. It’s really easy to cracks some jokes. It feels pretty terrible when you feel like a joke.

Let them Come to me: Reflections of a Small Group Leader

Last edited 17th August 2017

Over the past five years, I’ve had the pleasure of being a small group leader at Ignite Conference. I’ve seen many faces and had the chance to share many people’s experiences. A few years ago, I was a small group leader for a group of year 12 guys. There were about 13 or so and for the first few sessions conversation was slow and shallow but eventually they began to open up and share about their lives and the journey they were going on over Conference.

Ignite Conference 2017 Devotional 1 – Come, Follow Me.

Last edited 15th August 2017

I’ve been having a problem at work, and I’m certain that it is my own fault. I’ll be happily sitting at my own desk, typing away, working hard, headphones in and music bumping. Next thing I know, a soft mist is falling on my hair. Today, Tash, who I work with and sits beside me, had to spray me with whiteboard cleaner to get my attention.

That is why I’m so excited to share with you that four of the internet’s most famous Catholic cartoonists have collaborated to create “The Ultimate Catholic Comic Book”. You may not know them but name, but I’m positive you’ve seen their work on Facebook and Twitter. Because of the support they received from an amazing Kickstarter that many Catholic-Link readers supported, the book has been published!

Let God Hold Your Broken Heart: How to Deal With a Breakup

Last edited 19th July 2017

It was days before Christmas, the church was filled with poinsettias and Christmas trees, an array of white candles were placed before the altar, the nativity scene glowed serenely in the distance. I was surrounded by beauty, but rather than marveling at it, I knelt before the tabernacle and sobbed. My boyfriend and I had just ended our relationship, and even though deep down I knew this was the right decision, my heart felt as though it was shattered. As I cried, I offered it to God: “Here God, I’m laying it all down — my pain, my fears, my confusion — you can have it all, you can hold my broken heart.”

Witnessing to a World that is Waiting

Last edited 3rd July 2017

I believe that the best feeling in the world is getting some good news to distract you from studying. One time in college, while studying with some friends, we’d reached a point where we were spending more time on our phones than our upcoming test and I got a text from a friend. He shared with me that he decided he wanted to become Catholic. I freaked out, blurted the news to the study group, and ran out the door to call him. We had a great chat where he talked about how the Christian witness of some of our friends really showed him the authentic love and confidence he had been searching for. I was so excited as I finished up my phone call. Before I walked back into the room, I could hear my study group talking.
