At the age of 18, Javiera Ramirez found out she was pregnant. She felt like her life was falling apart. Having a baby wasn't in her plans and she didn't know where to turn. The first few months were anything but easy. She admits that at one point, it seemed like the only viable option was to have an abortion. Things changed when she found a pro-life foundation, named 'Chile Unido', or United Chile. There, she received psychological support and logistical help. Eventually, she decided to keep her baby.

Fifty nine years ago, the Archbishop of Riga, Zbigevs Stankevis, almost died. When his mother was expecting him, everyone told her she should have an abortion. However, his mother decided to have her baby. Eventually that young boy became the Archbishop of Riga.

Pro-Life 'One of Us' Initiative Challenges Veto Imposed by European Commission

The pro-life European Citizen's Initiative titled "One of Us” is headed to court to challenge the veto from the European Commission this past May. Proponents of the measure said the veto was anti-democratic. The pro-life network of the same name collected nearly two million signatures throughout Europe. Their proposal would gives legal standing to human embryos, and cut taxpayer funding for embryonic stem cell research.
