Pope Francis Addresses Engaged Couples
Last edited 27th May 2015

In his catechesis on Wednesday 27 May 2015, Pope Francis talked about dating and setting a solid foundation for marriage. Love, he explained shouldn't be improvised or based on fading emotions: "The freedom of giving oneself to another is a decision that requires a conscious harmony. It's not about a simple mutual attraction, an emotion, a moment or a phase. It's a journey.”

"I’m attracted to people of the same sex, and I’m glad that I was raised by a devoutly Christian mom and dad. My dad’s acceptance of me as a man, with full knowledge of my attraction to other men, was his gift to me. And though it was late coming, I am utterly thankful for it."

4 Things I Learned About Relationships From a Pope
Last edited 20th May 2015

Lesson 1: “Man’s capacity for love depends on his willingness consciously to seek a good together with others, and to subordinate himself to that good for the sake of others, or to others for the sake of that good,” wrote St. John Paul II. In other words: How ready I am to love depends on how ready I am to not be the most important person in my life. Love–real love, that is–requires us to reject selfishness. It requires us to be ok with making sacrifices when having made sacrifices is of benefit to the person we love.

Porn: The Worst Way to Learn About Sex
Last edited 5th May 2015

Depending on the household you grew up in, sex may or may not have been talked about a lot. For some, it’s commonplace.
