Sarah Swafford: Top Tips for Building Emotional Virtue

After spending three years as a “dorm mom” for 142 college women, Sarah Swafford learned much about the challenges facing young men and women – particularly in their dating and relationships. From here, Sarah founded Emotional Virtue Ministries, has spoken for Steubenville Conferences and FOCUS, and is a member of Chastity Project. Sarah is currently on a speaking tour in Australia, and we had the opportunity to catch up and find out more about her work. In this interview, Sarah Swafford explains what inspired her to start Emotional Virtue Ministries, her top tips for living emotional virtue, and the importance of striving and surrender.

Women of the Bible Featuring Lot's Wife Lot's wife lived a tough life dwelling in the sinful place that was Sodom and Gomorrah. It is interesting to put yourself in her shoes, what did she think when her husband offered her virgin daughters to a crowd full of men wanting to rape the guests that were staying with them? Why did she disobey the angels orders turning back to see the evil town being destroyed? What can we learn from her story today? Lot's Wife's legacy in scripture - Read Genesis 19:1-26.

Inaugural Newman Lecture: Sr Terese Auer O.P. Contraception Distorted Love

Sr Terese holds a Doctorate in Philosophy and she wrote and taught the Bioethics Curriculum for the Pope John Paul the Great high school, Dumfries, Virginia. She has taught philosophy and theology in high schools and colleges in Wisconsin, Nebraska, California, Ohio and Tennessee.
