Information Management

Like many websites, this Site collects information from its visitors both by permitting you to establish user accounts and to communicate directly with us via e-mail, private messaging and feedback forms. Some of the information that you submit may be personally identifiable information including sensitive information (that is, information that can be uniquely identified with you, such as your full name, address, e-mail address, phone number, date of birth, gender, marital status, occupation, photos, videos, opinion and comments applicable to a social media website and so on).

Some areas of this Site may require you to submit information to enable you to benefit from the special features (such as groups, events, updates, private messaging),to participate in a particular activity (such as an event, function, competition or promotion) or to provide you with information on issues and initiatives (including Ask a Priest). You consent to us using and disclosing the information you have submitted to contact you in relation to those special features and activities and to administer your participation in those activities.

Any information posted on bulletin boards, in the Library and/or communicated in discussion forums may become public information. While we strive to protect and respect your privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose in a bulletin board or discussion forum.


Passive Information Collection

We may use cookies to assign your computer a User ID so that we can identify your computer on our server. This enables us to track your use of the Site and to learn about your preferences so that we can make our Site better. In most cases, you may configure your web browser to disable cookies. We do not use cookies to collect and store personal information about you.

We take reasonable steps to protect your personally identifiable information as you transmit your information from your computer to our Site and to protect such information from loss, misuse, interference and unauthorised access, use, modification, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Children's Privacy

Please note that, as specified under the Terms and Conditions for using this Site, this Site is for users aged 16 years or older.



iFaith is a section within Xt3 accessible only by approved High School students and Religious Education teachers. Members using iFaith are required to engage in online behaviour that is respectful and appropriate, in keeping with the same behavioural expectations within the classroom. Teachers are required to inform their students that they must maintain responsible interaction with others on iFaith, and are not permitted to use derogatory language or remarks. Students are advised not to share their login details with anyone. Furthermore, students cannot make use of the private messaging functionality on Xt3 as a security measure, and all communication on iFaith is to take place on public message boards.

The privacy controls on iFaith satisfy the requirements set out in the February 2011 CEO Social Media Policy.



We will only collect, use or disclose information that personally identifies you in accordance with this Privacy Policy unless we are required to disclose it by law or in our opinion we are required to disclose it to avoid injury to any person, or we are permitted to disclose it under Australian privacy laws.
